  We rent vacation homes in Port Aransas every Christmas. This one was by far our favorite. It had everything we needed and was only a few steps away from the beach. Our dogs even felt right at home. We could not have asked for a better location, price or stay.

  I wa slaking for something with a view and even though it was the only unit available and it still had a great view. I hope in the future to get even closer to the beach at this same complex. It was a little pricey considering the age and condition of the unit it needs updating badly carpet, furniture and kitchen. The beds were comfortable the sheets and towels clean and the porch view spectacular. Even the each condition was good for a Texas beach! Please please consider a late (like 6 PM) checkout if no guest expected the next day! Who does that hurt and added value! We would have even cleaned the place for that.

  Overall very good, the location is somewhat not convenient to amenities in town because of the distance. Cannot rent a golf cart or…because it is so far down the beach. However, on the positive side, the seclusion was great and absolutely no traffic or “beach drunks”. The property was great and well maintained although somewhat dated.

  We arrived after a rainstorm. The entire master bedroom floor and part of the living room floor near the door was wet. This led to a musty smell in the house. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable. I would stay there again as I think the wet floor was an anomaly.

  This house is in a perfect location, steps from the beach, overlooking the pool. We loved sitting out on the shaded patio and relaxing while overlooking the beach. Inside, the property could use some updating, although the living room furniture is new
  and the bathrooms are spotless. The carpet, I would say, is the item they should replace first! The kitchen could use updating, as could all the furniture but the carpet is very unappealing. Since we were so close to the beach and had two dogs with us, it
  was PERFECT. This house is on three levels, so lots of stair climbing! A/C worked great!

  This was our first visit to Port A, the beach house made it very appealing. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The only problem we had was the coffee maker did not work and we did not know to contact the office for a replacement. Ooops, our mistake. See you next time.

  The location of this unit is ideal - right on the beach with spectacular views, but removed from the crowds of Port A. The property was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
  
  The kitchen is huge but definitely is way past due to be upgraded. It needs a complete remodel from top to bottom, as well as new pots and pans and new small appliances (toaster is a dog!!!). Same thing with the carpeting. It is old and stained and needs to be replaced. By comparison, the last two vacation homes that we rented were completely remodeled, yet charged about the same amount for rent that this place does for the location, number of bedrooms, amenities, etc.
  
  Be aware if you rent this place that there are absolutely no condiments (not even salt and pepper)furnished. We have rented numerous vacation homes over the years, and this is the first time that we did not find any of even the most basic condiments provided.
  
  We were not able to check in at 4:00 pm as we were told we would be able to. The property manager told us the unit wasn't finished being cleaned. The frustrating part was that she wouldn't even give us an estimate of how long it would take to finish cleaning it. We didn't know if it would take 15 minutes or 4 hours! We could have spent the hour+ that we waited to find out it was finally ready doing a lot of other things rather than sitting around the rental office.
  
  The owner of Beach Beauty limits occupancy of this 3BR unit to six people, which we think is a great thing, especially during spring break week when we were there. It is too bad that other owners at Lost Colony do not have similar restrictions. For the first two nights that we were there, there were no less than a total of 25-30 people staying in two of the other units (either 1 and 2, or 2 and 3). There were kids everywhere. The pool was filthy when we checked in and there was, among other things, pool furniture laying in the bottom of the pool. Needless to s

  The property itself was well equiped in sleeping accommodations and in the kitchen. The two decks provided ample room for socializing and enjoying the outside. The price point was good for the location. Beach veiws were nice and access was within an easy, few minutes stroll.
  
  The negatives. The property is showing its age and needs some upgrading and repair. For instance, kitchen floor tiles are cracking and peeling up. Carpet are worn out. Several light fixture not working. Loose boards on deck stairs, non-working porch and garage lights present safety concern.
  
  Overall, we enjoyed the property and would return again. A BIG positive is the property management which were friendly and accommodating with good customer service. They said that they would address the safety issues immediately. They did everything possible to create an enjoyable stay. We enjoy going to the coast but do not visit as often as we like because of difficulty finding pet accommodations. We have championship dogs that travel whereever we go. This was the best dog friendly property on all of Port Aransas. We should know, we've stayed at most over the years. This was the best we have ever stayed at. We will make sure that ALL our fellow trainers and dog people know this is the place to go on Port Aransas.
