  We stayed in Port A this past July and had an awesome time. Our group total was 14 with ages starting at 2, 5, 7, 10 and up. We loved that the pool was so close to houses. Rooms were very spacious in house so u never felt crammed in there. We cooked all
  our meals at the houses and came down with our own groceries. The pans were a bit old so I had brought my own to use. My only complaint was the lack of maintenance of the outside. The charcoal grills looked as if they hadn't been cleaned since beginning of
  season and nobody dumped trash by pool either . These were problems we took care of ourselves so it worked out. Had a great and will do this again.

  The house was in good clean conditions. Plenty of room for 7 adults and 3 kids. Only complaint would be of the swimming pool, felt more like a hot tub than a swimming pool. That was the least of worries. Will recommend and definitely plan to stay again!

  We stayed at Villa de Paraiso over Memorial Day weekend. The house was adorable and had a fun kitchen with seating for eight, which was great for our large family. (We actually rented two houses, but convened in Villa de Paraiso for meals.) Everything was spotless, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, plenty of towels, linens and extra blankets. The pool is right outside the front door, which made it very convenient for taking the kids. With regard to location, I thought it was just fine, but as far as I could tell, there wasn't really any good way to walk to the beach from here. You are really only about one block west of the beach, but you have to have access to a walkway to go over the dunes, and those are mainly private. We drove to the beach each day, and that was very easy as there are beach access roads within 1/2 mile to the north and to the south. We also brought along ou bikes and biked around the entire town. Port A isn't very big, and the Royal Palm Cottages (including Villa de Paraiso) are close enough to the "main" part of town that you can make it anywhere in just a couple of minutes driving. The property management company , Port A Escapes also made the entire experience effortless. When we stopped by the office to get the keys, they had our paperwork ready for us and it didn't take more than a few minutes to get checked in.

  My family and I had a wonderful time, the house was very nice and the location was great. Just a short drive to the beach and also a short drive into town. The only problem we had was ants, they were in the top floor back bedroom by the laundry room.. Other than that everything was wonderful. Also bigger t.vs wouldn't be a bad thing.. Well from myself and my family thank y'all very much number 24 is going to be our vacation home from here on out..

  We were very pleased with our stay here and will definitely book here again, and recommend to others. Only three suggestions: 1) needs a larger screen TV in the living area (currently 19"); 2) needs a TV in the 3rd bedroom upstairs; 3) provide better pots & pans - most were not useable and I had to purchase some to cook for our family.

  Overall our family and guest were very pleased with the property. The only complaints were the property was advertised as being a short walk to the beach and although there was a boardwalk a short distance from the house it was gated and padlocked we were not provided a combination or key to the lock therefore the walk to the beach would have been over a mile and with kids, dog and beach stuff that was to far. Also the dumpster in the complex was overflowing with garbage and the smell was horrible. We did not BBQ but I feel sorry for those who had planned to do so. Other than that the house was great. We'll be back next year!!

  Our family, along with a few friends had a fabulous time in this vacation property. It was roomy and comfortable. It was clean and in a great location. The pool was handy. We brought our own pots and pans and broom and accidentally left our broom for other guests to everything was TERRIFIC!!!

  It was very spacious, but had a few drawbacks, some things were not included that you'd expect, like trash bags! Roaches in kitchen were not welcomed! Great location, nice pool area, beds comfortable.

  We love Port Aransas and have visited the island 15 or 20 times over the years. Villa de Paraiso is a nice house and met most of our needs, but beach access is a problem...the walkovers near the property are privately owned and gated, and you have to drive to the beach access road. Walking is not a good option, especially if you are carrying chairs, coolers, etc. Recommend that you delete the comment in the property overview that the house is just a short walk to the beach.

• As mentioned in prior reviews, the pots and pans were subpar. We also concur the tv in the living room could be bigger. Having said all that, we were very pleased with the house. The floor plan worked very nicely for our family of 8.

  This house is nice, but the living room area is very tiny, not really great to have a large group hang out in. The pool is great and we spent a lot of time there. The beach is not within walking distance if you have kids. We ended up having to drive to get to the beach. The disposal was broken which made clean up a bit difficult, but not a deal breaker. The BBQ grill is a shared grill in the pool area, we thought there was a private grill. Overall a good experience and we would rent it again.

  We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great home away from home the large kitchen makes it easy to prepare large meals as long as you bring some of your own amenities. After reading other reviews I packed some pots, pans and knives. That made things work out just fine. There always seemed to be enough hot water for showers and dishes even with eleven of us. It was nice being able to all stay in one place. We will do it again.
