  Had a blast! Port A Escapes was super accommodating. The cleaning fee was a bit steep considering that guests are required to take out their own trash but we only booked 2 weeks out and had a sweet house right on the water.

  This location was perfect for our family. It is so close to the beach and had enough room for all 11 of us. Nice sized kitchen and enough bathrooms to keep us all happy! The view and ocean breeze was spectacular!

  Loved the property. This is the second time my family has rented property. Air condition was frozen and needed to be fixed when we arrived. Maintenance came and repaired. The refrigerator temp was acting up. The ice machine froze up as well. Washer/dryer needed tune up as well. Overall, not complaining. Loved the location, Port A Escapes, and Lost Colony. This is a place that all my family can stay in and have a great time.

  The location is wonderful. The deck is fabulous - you can see the ocean but are away from the wind. The whole place needs to be updated. The ice maker does not work. The only comfortable bed is the king in the master bedroom. The 2 smaller bathrooms have showers the size of a travel trailer, hardly room to turn around! The couches were in fine condition and the linens were ok. It was ok, but I'll probably not return.

  The only thing that I thought was a pain was that we were required to empty all trash cans and haul all of our trash to a dumpster at the end of the complex before we left. Felt like that is a service that should be apart of the cleaning fee that we paid. $50 seems like a steep price to pay, too, for not taking care of that duty.

• You can't beat the location. Property was clean and nicely decorated. The unit could get a bit warm, even with a low setting. But, overall it was a good experience.

  Port A Escapes is AWESOME! They came when there was a maintenance issue, immediately! Will seek their help next time I want to rent. LOVED the VIEW at this HOUSE!

  The property had a nice balcony view of the ocean and was located a very short walk from boardwalk and beach. The beach was also a bit nicer than many areas considering the seaweed is collected and placed on dunes. A quiet cul-de-sac that is great for families. The AC worked great and the kitchen was completely stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals and more.
  
  On the down side, the carpets could use a good cleaning as there were many spots throughout the home, the decking needs to be sanded and sealed. We all learned to wear shoes when stepping out on the balcony after a few splinters. The master bedroom's outlet by the door/bed was defective and sparked when we plugged our phone charger into it. I informed the property managers of the outlet issue.

  The only issue during our stay was the amount of seaweed on the beach and in the water, which is not the fault of the property company and/or unit. I was told that the seaweed season is from late May to late June. I made a mental note to remember that. Otherwise, we had a great time and would definitely stay there again (just not during seaweed season).

  The location was great. The only thing that I would recommend is that the home be updated. The furniture is all really old and on the verge of breaking. The home could use bigger/updated TV's,new ceiling fans, new dining room table and definitely new couches. It would also be nice if the garage would be accessible. The house was very clean and the property manager was great. There wae plenty of dishes, blankets, pillows and towels etc... I would consider staying there yearly if the home is updated.
