  We rented this property to celebrate our daughters graduation from Texas A&M Corpus.Everyone had a great time. Proprety was secluded and away from the hussel and bussel of Port A. Just what we wanted. Roomy enough for our whole family, all 12 of us. The only draw back is we wished we could have used the garage to store our fishing equipement at night. We will be back. Thanks Port A Escapes.

  The house was within walking distance, but by the end of the week I wished it would have been a shorter walk. Only complaint inside the house, the kitchen needed more bakeware,but everything else was great.

  My husband and I chose to stay at this lovely beach house the week after Christmas this year and invite our children and grandchildren for a family retreat. We had a delightful time. The accommodations were perfect for our family of twelve, the property was pristine, and the views from the upper deck were breathtaking. The folks at Port A Escapes were always on the spot to address any questions or concerns. We found them to be patient and informative as we searched for the perfect spot for our retreat, and they were absolutely ready to facilitate any needs we encountered. We would highly recommend this lovely home for a blessed respite at the beach.

  Lots of fun, sand, and really enjoyed the rain and sunrise over the gulf. Within walking distance to the beach and community pool was a convenience. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighborhood.

  Our concerns: there is a lack of cookware in the kitchen. We had to buy a dutch over to prepare one of our meals. I would hope that you could look through the kitchen and add the necessary items. We should not have to bring cookware to the beach. Otherwise, we love this house; It is our second year to rent it. We look forward to coming again. P.S. so great to have a washer and dryer. One other thing: the owners have locked the garage. We did enjoy being able to enter through the garage. Thanks. Dr. Bohmfalk

  Our overall experience was pretty good. The only downside is that the house is too far from the boardwalk so we had to load our cars drive to the boardwalk unload and walk 1/2 mile to the beach. Plus, the pool was closed the whole time we were there

  The house was not maintained well at all. We chose to rent a house this time because we wanted the kids to be able to run around in a yard. The yard was not maintained and was overgrown with stickers, so the kids couldn't even go out there. The house is beautiful but just not maintained...rusted hinges, paint chipping, dead palm tree in the front, etc...nothing dangerous, just not nice to look at. All that being said we had a GREAT vacation! There are only like 6 houses in the neighborhood so we had the pool to ourselves and the beach area across the boardwalk to ourselves. It was like having a private pool and beach, so that was fantastic. And we truly enjoyed our time in Port A. There is a neighborhood boardwalk to the beach which was great. We cooked at the house 2 of the 3 nights but it was SO windy we had to take the grill to the front porch (no fault of the owner). There is no shampoo/conditioner so make sure you bring that. Also the master bedroom is so bright that it makes it hard to sleep past 6:30am. There are blinds on the windows but they really don't block any if you're an early bird it won't bother you! I would stay here again but mostly for the privacy we had at pool and beach and space inside the house.Hopefully the yard can get some TLC soon!
