We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance for stays during hurricane season – June 1st through November 30th. In the event of a Mandatory Evacuation of Port Aransas, PAE will issue refunds or will move the reservation to alternative dates.

Cancellation more than 30 days prior to check-in will result in a $50 plus tax service charge and a return of the 25% deposit. Cancellations made less than 30 days to arrival will result in a full forfeiture of payment. We strongly encourage you to purchase CSA travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. There are no refunds for early departures. All monthly winter rentals must cancel with more than 30 days notice or will result in a full forfeiture of payment. If a winter rental is cancelled with more than 30 days notice, a refund will be issued minus a $50 cancellation fee.

Port A Escapes' properties vary in distance from the beach. Some properties are beachfront while others are 1-2 miles away. Within each property description you will find a map section which will show the location of that exact property and how far it is from the beach. Feel free to call us for more details as well. 

Check in time is after 4pm. Our offices are currently open from 9-6pm Sunday – Thursday and 9-7pm Friday & Saturday (extended hours during summer season). 

Port A Escapes does contactless check in at all our properties unless you are missing required documentation. If you will be arriving after hours, please call our office to make necessary arrangements. If you will be arriving before 4pm, please call our office to see if an early check in is available. If available, early check ins are $25.00 + tax. 

Check-out time is 11:00AM. You may prearrange for a late check-out, if available, for a fee of $25/hour. 

Yes, Port A Escapes has a minimum age requirement of 25.

Yes each property has at least a two night minimum. Some properties have a 3 night minimum and others have a 30 night minimum however some exceptions can be made for last minute bookings. 

Port A Escapes does not require a hold deposit, we do require an active credit card be on file for every stay and this card will be charged if damage is found or excessive cleaning is needed. We also require every guest to purchase a property usage fee which varies in price depending on the size of the property you're booking.

The maximum occupancy for each property is listed on the property description page. Adults and children count against the occupancy. You are not allowed to have more guests in the property than the maximum occupancy states. We will make an exception for one child under the age of two.

Port A Escapes does offer some pet-friendly properties. Pets are only allowed in pet-friendly properties and there are additional fees associated with having a pet in a property. If an unreported pet is found to be staying in a property, the guest will be charged $500.00 and be asked to leave without a refund.

Any property with a private pool or access to a community pool will include photos of the pool area in the property's photo gallery. Additionally, "Community Pool" or "Private Pool," as applicable, will be listed under the "Standard Amenities" section of the property description. Pools that are heated will be specifically identified as "Heated Pool." 

Many private homes are equipped with grills, which may be charcoal or gas; however, not all properties offer a grill. Some condominium complexes provide community grills, but availability is not guaranteed. Please review the Standard Amenities list for each property or contact us directly, and we will be happy to confirm whether a grill is available. 

All of our properties offer Wi-Fi; however, service in Port Aransas may be intermittent due to the unique coastal environment. We appreciate your understanding that internet service reliability is beyond our control. Accordingly, no discounts or refunds will be provided for service disruptions. 

Each property is supplied with bath towels and washcloths based on the home's maximum occupancy, with hand towels provided in every bathroom.  All beds are made with sheets, pillows, and comforters. Homes with private pools are also furnished with pool towels. 

For your convenience, a small starter supply of essential items is provided to allow time for shopping. This includes a sponge, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. These items are not replenished during your stay.

The following items are not provided, so we recommend bringing them with you: sunscreen, beach gear, food, spices, condiments, coffee, coffee filters, and similar personal items. 

Port A Escapes' properties come with pots & pans, dinnerware & glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils, cookware, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, measuring cups and spoons, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, pillows and blankets for every bed and more. Please call if you have any questions on other specific items.

Fires no larger than 3’x3’ are allowed on the beach as long as they do not present a risk of starting larger fires.

There are a select few private homes and condominiums that will allow trailer parking. Channelview Condos charge for a boat trailer and boat parking. Bay Tree Condos charge for boat slip rentals and boat parking. Please call for details on those. 

Lowe's Market located at 418 S. Alister St. is open 7am - 10pm.  There is a CVS and Dollar General that have a small amount of groceries and several of the convenience stores offer a few groceries. The closest HEB grocery store is in Flour Bluff which is a 30-minute drive away.

Yes! There are public boat ramps available in Port Aransas. One is located at Robert's Point Park at 310 J C Barr Blvd. Another one is located at Packery Channel on the intersection of Zahn Road and St Hwy 361.

Port A Escapes will not be responsible for items left in properties after check-out. Please notify us as soon as you realize you’ve forgotten something and we will make every effort to locate and return lost and forgotten items when the property is unoccupied but there is no guarantee they will be found. If a guest leaves an item in the property and wishes to have it mailed back to them they will be required to pay for the postage as well as a $25 service fee. Any forgotten items must be retrieved within 10 days or they will be donated to a local charity.
