Relax in a quiet waterfront setting along the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, where passing ships and coastal wildlife provide the scenery. This split-level condo offers flexible sleeping for up to five guests, an in-unit washer and dryer and direct access to Bay Tree's fishing, boating and recreation amenities.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Bay Tree D11-12 is located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. This is a second floor condo with no elevator access. Both bedrooms are located upstairs by accessing a spiral staircase, the laundry area is located on the main floor in the bathroom off of the living room. While here you will see the large super tankers traverse the ship channel dwarfing everything along the way. We offer a very peaceful and quiet stay and still have many fun things to do. Fishing from our private pier, lounging around our Texas size pool.

Second-floor condo with stair access only; no elevator. The condo sleeps up to 5 guests and includes 2 full bathrooms.

Location plus
We stayed 3 nights. I prepped easy meals ahead of time so they were easy to put together at the condo. Cooking more involved meals will be difficult with the limited kitchen space and cookware. But very manageable if you plan ahead or are going to eat meals out. Pool was larger than I expected and very clean. We had fun fishing off of the dock each evening. Location was close to anything that we wanted to do from Port Aransas to Corpus Christi area. Easy to get back up to the Rockport area by taking the ferry. The water did not have an overwhelming sulfur smell as another review stated. It could have something to do with the time of year? Larger bed was very comfortable. Larger bed in the bedroom was comfortable enough for my son, however, not as comfortable as his at home. But that is typical. The AC works well, it was a little warmer upstairs but that’s normal with two story homes. We loved the decks! I would absolutely book this condo again for quick trips.

Stinky hot water
Could have lived life a lot better without the stench from the hot water. This wasn’t your normal sulfur smell it was like you were swimming in sulfur. It was hard to breathe. I did let them know but problem is they called me check in day while i was driving down from Dallas and said they were running the water because unit had been vacant since spring break. Didn’t even think about it until my first shower. It wasn’t taken care of. I will leave it at that. I will stay elsewhere next time. If this is any indication of the units there I wouldn’t stay in any of them.

The location was good, with awesome views on the balconies. The fishing location was good. The two things I was not happy with was the furniture needs updating. And the electric stove was hard to cook on. It cooked very slow.

Labor Day Getaway on Jetty
One of the earliest bookings, check-ins and timely/prompt communication we ever had. Rental unit wad as described and pictured. A little dated and getting to 2nd floor bedrooms a little wonky. But locale, pool and views make for a highly enjoyable stay.

Great location with mixed feelings about the unit
This was my 2nd stay at Bay Tree in a different condo. The location is great. Close to the beach and all of the restaurants and shops. This unit has a great view of the ocean, and you can also see the fishing dock from the balcony. I have 3 children 10 and under, so the 2nd bedroom with bunk beds and a twin bed worked perfectly for them. The queen bed in the other bedroom needs to be replaced badly. It's hard and makes loud noises when you barely move. My wife and I were exhausted after 4 nights of restless sleep. There's plenty of space for a king. The carpet has a lot of stains, and the storm door pneumatic closer was also broken. If here in the summer, there's 1 thermostat downstairs. It'll get really cold down there and still be warm upstairs. A few minor renovations and this place would be top notch. Some basic essentials were provided like soap, TP, dishing washing and laundry pods, coffee filters, etc, so that was appreciated. Management was helpful when I had a question. When looking at the different available condos to book, it was the more budget friendly option with a great view of the ocean, so take all of the pros and cons into consideration and see where you're willing to compromise.

Less than average property
The location can't be beat, but the condo needs help. Very basic needs were met, but nothing more. Needs updated furnishings, carpet was questionably clean due to the stains, kitchen was not stocked well...missing can opener, mixing bowls, larger pots, cups.... I booked this condo based on location alone, but on a beach vacation expected a cute decorated place as well. However seems like everything was bought used and thrown together to get it rented. Has so much potential to be a really spectacular rental..but not yet. Perfect for a guys weekend.
