MIXED REVIEW
Channelview is always a family friendly place that leaves us with lots of memories. This past weekend was my first time being harassed by a lady that said she lives there and is the property manager. She is always walking a large dog and makes a point to be a "Karen" around the pool area. She threatened my kids that she would get them kicked out for their horseplay in the pool area. We all understand the safety concerns but the rude threats and monitoring made us want to leave. I did not get her name, but other guest told me they had the same experience with her.

We do want to clarify that Port A Escapes does not have an employee or property manager who lives onsite at Channelview, so we're not sure who this individual may have been. We stayed in a very nice condo. There were four of us.
Only suggestions are:
Supply a step stool to get into the 2nd bedroom bed which is extremely high.
Check the water pressure in the hall bathroom vanity. It was quite low. Elevator was very small but glad it was there.

CV215 Channel View - SPECTACULAR
This condo is amazing. It has a private pier, wonderful pool, security, and an elevator. It is beautifully decorated. Had all the amenities we needed and then some. Bedrooms are large and all have dressers and closets and tvs. There a two beautiful bathrooms with great showers. The large dining room table made entertaining a breeze. Earlier reviews mentioned the living room rug needing replaced, it’s has been. And the furniture in the living room is comfy and clean. All beds are very comfortable. Extremely happy with this condo. Best ever, in 15 years. Port A Escapes is the best!!

Ideally located to downtown Port A
Our family getaway was great. The condo was just what we needed. The grandkids enjoyed the pool and the pier. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. We could have used luggage racks and more hooks for our towels. Kitchen was missing baking pans and cooking spoons. Yes our family likes to cook. Cushions and rug in living room have done their time. Would we come back? Definitely!

Very Nice Stay
The condo was clean, fresh and updated and the private dock was terrific for night fishing. We never received our orange wristbands even though we reported the night of arrival. The manager of Baytree responded to after-hours call and said the wristbands would be delivered, but they never were. Our stay was enjoyable overall. I recommend adding a few things to make guests stay even more fantastic: (1) add multiple-prong hooks in the bathrooms and bedrooms (only found one two-prong hook on one bedroom door)...these are needed to hang robes, towels for reuse, and clothing (2) add at least two luggage racks per bedroom...we had to use the two barstools (3) staples such as salt, pepper, sugar...this was the first condo I've ever rented, and I've rented a lot through the years, where there were zero staples...I had to make a second run to the grocery store because I'd expected that these would be in the condo (4) reduce the cleaning fee...I think it was $275 which is crazy high.

My recent stay at Channelview was truly memorable! Port Aransas escapes was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, well-maintained, with most of the amenities I needed. The location was perfect! The elevator was a little slow however my overall experience was outstanding and I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Nice condo with very nice appliances. Beds were comfortable. Minor issues were it was a little short on forks and we only had 4 people. Didn’t have a cake pan.

Relaxing Home Away From Home Stay
We had an amazing comfortable stay. The check in and out was so easy and convenient. It was very clean and home feeling. We have stayed in Channelview Condos before, so we didn't expect less than a great stay. This was just a little different as we came together for a pre-Thanksgiving weekend. Different couples that hadn't stayed under one roof ended up being nothing but a great time. Plenty of room, time fishing at whatever hour of the day, and playing games as the owner leaves available for the occupants was amazing for those that hadn't been here before. Best of all a full kitchen to cook the meal that we planned. Thank you for having us. We can't wait to come back to share love and laughs with family and/or friends.

Easy self check-in. Nice furnishings. The Only private, lighted fishing pier in the ship channel. Nice pool. Covered parking. Secluded area close to town. Very nice overall.

Great layout & location
We enjoyed our time in condo 215. The layout was great for our family and what we needed. The pool was fantastic and the kids loving going out on the private pier to fish. We also took multiple walks and adventures to the beach and jetty due to it's close proximity to the marina and "downtown" Port A. The condo did have a couple of things missing that we had to buy: a blender and oven mitts. When we notified the property manager, they were quick to respond and offered to go buy a blender. We had already bought one since we were at the store. Beyond those small items, we enjoyed our stay!

Condo was a great set up as a 3 bedroom 2 bath. Plenty of room for our large group. We love the pool, and fishing pier. It has everything your family may want. Along with privacy of a gated entrance and security every night.

GREAT Stay!!!
Love staying at The Channelview Condominiums, had always stayed in a 2-bedroom and this was first time staying in a 3-bedroom and it was awesome. Condo was very spacious, clean, and very nicely decorated. The check-in and check-out process was so nice and easy. We appreciated the 2 parking spots, the beautiful pool, and the fishing pier.

Pleasant surprise
I only discovered Port A escapes a few weeks ago and never used them before. The experience was painless. I found them very accommodating and everything went as it should. The condo was beautiful, well furnished, well appointed and actually a lot larger than I expected. One disappointment was I was expecting a patio or balcony and there was none. Nor was there a view of the channel, at least from this particular condo. On a lesser scale, the coffee pot was inoperative and the only working light in the bedroom with the king bed was the one on the ceiling fan, which was operated by a chain only about an inch long.

July 2021 Trip - Channelview- Port A
Excellent. We have stayed at Channelview a number of times over the last 25 (or more) years and have seen the upswing and a slight decline in the property and then stabilized. Then Harvey comes along. The renovations have renewed our expectations. The improvements, cleanliness and the addition of the access gates with a security person that actually makes his rounds, gives a more relaxed feeling when coming in from the pier at 2 or 3 a.m. The only item that is still a long time concern is the elevator, even though we have never encountered a failure, the feeling is not good until the doors open to get off. We always have one of us take the stairs and wait for the others to arrive. Overall excellent!! The pier repairs are great.

Excellent weekend fishing getaway
The condo is in great shape. It's clean, modern looking, comfortable beds plenty of space. Couple minutes from Port Aransas Fishermans Wharf.

Get it together

Overall good experience
The condo is nicely remodeled & amenities were great. Only issue was one of the owners complained that we had too many people that didn't belong, but our family rented out 4 condos, so we had at least 30 members and were accused of not belonging. We don't pay as much as the owners, but we paid enough & they made us feel uncomfortable as guests.

No TV service on any of the TVs & we had children to entertain
Except for the TVs all being without cable service the entire 4 days we were there it was perfect, we missed the game. You know Texans and their football.

Great Multi-Family rental
The space was completely renovated which was a pleasant surprise, the photos had not been updated. Our party of 8 had plenty of room and enjoyed our stay.

Great location
The condo was very nice place for our group of friends to stay for a weekend of fishing in Port A. The location was great. The fishing pier was a nice amenity. The trout were jumping at night under the lights. The master bed was interesting; I wouldn't say I liked seeing all of myself in the mirrored bed frame. The pool was nice as well, half-shaded in the afternoon.

Beautiful condo!
We usually stay at a friend's condo when in Port A, but it was unavailable. We logged on to Port Aransas Escapes and found a condo in the same location we usually stay. It was beautifully decorated, roomy enough for 6 to sleep (can sleep up to 10) and located on the channel. Will definitely book with them again. Price was also good!

Awesome Condo!
We (8 people) stayed in Channelview 215 for a long weekend. The condo was very clean and super nice. The long table accommodated all of us to sit and eat comfortably. The rooms and beds were good size and very comfortable. The private pier was a plus as we all love to fish. We were able to have some downtown time and relax in this wonderful and quiet place. It was very quiet and relaxing.

Rojas Family Vacation
My family has been coming to Port A every summer for the past 30 plus years. The only thing our room was missing was a washer and dryer. Other than that, it was perfect. View of the pier along with a view of the pool. The upgrades to the property are wonderful, but I felt the pool could have been much cleaner.

Channel View review
We have been coming to Port Aransas for 40 years, and we always stay at Channel View. This year was a little different because a new management company was handling reservations instead of the on-site system we're used to. Everything was great, except for the first time, there was no cleaning service offered for an 8-night stay; we ran out of dishwasher pellets, dishwashing liquid, trash bags, toilet paper and had to wash our own towels. I'm not sure if we had requested more of these items they would have provided them or not. Other than those (minor) inconveniences, it was fabulous as usual! We love being right on the Channel with our own pool and fishing pier.
