Grand Caribbean GC4001 This was my third consecutive year renting at the Grand Caribbean, but this unit fell below the standard of previous stays. The patio door lock needing repaired was probably known prior to my scheduled arrival. The hall bathroom lacks a toilet paper holder so the roll of paper has to be placed on the sink or inconveniently placed on the back of the toilet. The light over the stove needs the bulb replaced. The kitchen faucet lacks enough water pressure and hot water to adequately handle handwashing dishes. The carpets are extremely dirty and overdue for professional cleaning. I had to put a sheet on the floor so the six and eight month old babies were not directly on the carpet I will continue to choose the property for its convenient beach access, which is especially important for a disabled family member and allows us to enjoy the beach without driving. I have also appreciated the cleanliness of the outdoor areas maintained by Anna and her crew. Although I plan to continue staying at the Grand Caribbean, I will return to units I have rented before because they were better maintained. The $40-per-night price difference for this unit was not worthwhile.

Our team is following up on the missing toilet paper holder, stove light, kitchen faucet and hot water, as well as your concerns about the carpet. We are aware of the lock on that particular patio door. There is a second door that provides access to the balcony, but we certainly understand why you mentioned it and appreciate the feedback. We know this stay didn't measure up to the experiences you've had at Grand Caribbean in the past, and we'd really love the opportunity to change that. We hope you'll come back and give Port A Escapes another chance to provide the 5-star vacation you and your family have come to expect!
