Great location & good for big groups!
We rented this house in July 2026 for a big family vacation. The house was in a GREAT location with a short, easy walk to the beach. The kids loved the pool when not at the beach, and the pool towels were a nice touch. The refrigerator in the garage also came in handy. The kitchen was well stocked with practically everything we needed. A few quirky things - the elevator is not the most reliable. It would stall or not come when called. The Keurig never worked. We attempted to use the grill, but it was extremely dirty and not useable. The golf cart does not go very fast, making it unsafe to drive in the town. We ended up renting one instead. There were also cockroaches throughout the house every single day. Overall, we would stay there again due to the space, views, and location. However, for the price, these things should be addressed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so glad your family enjoyed the location, easy walk to the beach, private pool, well-stocked kitchen, and all the extra space. Those are some of our favorite things about this home too! We're sorry a few things took away from your experience. When our maintenance team came out to check the elevator, they found the inner door hadn't been closed completely. Once it was fully closed, the elevator worked properly, and they were able to show your group how to operate it. We do wish we had known about the Keurig and the grill during your stay. We would have been happy to take a look at both while you were here. The owner replaces the grill every year, with the most recent replacement in April, but our island location and salty coastal environment can definitely be tough on outdoor equipment. The golf cart is also operating as designed, with a top speed of approximately 20–25 mph, which is typical for neighborhood electric vehicles. And while the home is treated monthly during the summer and quarterly the rest of the year, our coastal climate can occasionally allow the odd roach to make its way inside despite regular pest control. We would have been happy to address that while you were here as well. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We truly appreciate it, and we're happy to hear you'd stay with us again. Third year renting this house, the good and the bad
We have rented this house for the last consecutive three years. The house layout is great, the location is perfect and the views are awesome. However this year (July, 2026) there are several things that need to be addressed. -We found several large roaches on every level of the house this year. Floors, ceilings, bedrooms and outside by the pool area. -The house has seen some wear, which is to be expected being a beach rental. With all the paint patches, scuffed floors and general wear I would not call this house "luxury" as stated on the ad. It is a nice house, but it is not a luxury house. -The air hockey table downstairs does not work, and that was always a big hit with the kids. -The TV in the bunk room was not working half of the time, and no clear way to fix the issue of not turning on. (new batteries installed in every remote and still had the issue) -The golf cart is HORRIBLE! We don't even use it anymore because they have it governed down so slow that its dangerous to drive in town. All the other golf carts we have rented over the years and supplied by other beach houses have been set to 30mph, which is the speed limit in town. This golf cart is set to 10-15mph. -The grill by the pool is complete junk, functional in a pinch, but junk. The burners are all rusted out and the grates have been replaced with grates not for that grill so they fall down to the bottom when in use. For the cost of renting this house they can, and should, replace the grill. Back to the good. The kitchen is always fully stocked with plenty of utensils, pots pans and plates. The garage fridge is great for drinks. The pool has always been clean. This year they added pool towels which was nice. Overall its a great house and we will book again next year, because its one of the few int town that sleep 16, have a private pool and include a golf cart. Hopefully they give the house a little attention, maintenance and updating to bring it back to that luxury status it was three years ago.

Thank you for staying with us again! We can't tell you how much we appreciate guests like you. Three years in a row says a lot, and we're so glad this home has become part of your family's vacation tradition. We're sorry this year's stay didn't quite live up to the standard you've come to expect. We always want returning guests to leave feeling just as excited about their stay as they did the year before. We wish we had known about the TV and the grill while you were here so we could have taken care of them for you. We removed the air hockey table from our website and amenities after learning replacement parts were no longer available. Living on the Texas coast definitely comes with a few challenges. Even though the home is on a regular pest control schedule, the occasional roach can still make its way inside, especially during the summer months. The golf cart is also operating as designed with a top speed of approximately 20–25 mph, although we understand that may not have been what you were expecting. Thank you for sharing both the things you loved and the areas where you think we can improve. House of Views
Beware: My family and I have been coming to Port A for many years. We always bring a jet ski and a boat. No wears does it say no boats or trailers. Well we got there a big sign, no boats or trailers. HUGE problem. Then this lovely home sleeps 16 people. You would think if 16 people are there there will be more than 1 vehicle. No parking but for 1 vehicle. HUGE problem. They have an area for overflow parking and guess what. It was full. Not happy. Finally Nicki, vert nice lady let us outboard, jet ski and trailer in Port Escapes parking area. Other than does problems the home is probably one of the nicest we have stayed in. Plenty of room and beautiful interior. We finally found an area in another complex to let us use there parking for our boat and trailer.

Family get together
The house was great. It had plenty of room, in a great location convenient to town and has a short walk to the beach. The extra refrigerator in the garage for drinks was nice. The pool was a good depth for kids and had plenty of shade.

Perfect space for multiple families
House was clean and had everything we needed. Location perfectly convenient. Multiple places to hang out so even with 16 people it never felt tight or crowded. Would happily stay again.

Fabulous Week With Family
Stayed May 1-8, 2025. Husband and I, two daughters, their partners, and two grandkids, ages 3 and 4 months . Neighborhood was so nice and the walkway to the beach was great. Perfect location. Plenty of available parking. House was lovely, incredibly clean, and had EVERYTHING we needed and then some. We have stayed in several lovely houses in Port A, but House of Views (and it truly has GREAT views) had the best stocked and organized kitchen out of all of them. LOTS of drinkware and multiple sets of nice dishes. Plenty of cookware and bakeware. Multiple stockpots suitable for a shrimp boil. Keurig AND drip coffee makers, GOBS of salt and pepper, blender, toaster and toaster oven. Only thing missing was a can opener. Plenty of paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper for our stay. Brought our own, but weren’t needed. Small amount of dish soap was provided, but no starter amount of dishwasher tabs or sponge were provided. Pool was very clean and all the furniture around it and on all the decks was fab. The elevator was GREAT and a real lifesaver hauling stuff between the multiple floors. Comfy beds and plenty of towels and washcloths. Stacked washer/dryer was great. BYOPods. Extra fridge for drinks (with a working ice maker!) in garage was a huge plus. Lots of sand toys and boogie boards were also available. Golf cart (six seater) was clean, in working order and great fun. Bit of confusion upon arrival, however. No info re golf cart codes or keys provided on site. Called Port A Escapes and was advised that they only manage the property, not the golf cart, and that we should have been contacted prior by Island Outfitters. No contact had been made. No phone number provided. I googled and called Island Outfitters to find that their voice mailbox was full. Left message. They eventually responded by text, code was given and we were good to go. So, be sure to pursue that info before you arrive.

Beautiful Home
Prettiest home we’ve stayed in and we’ve stayed in quire a few !
I must say the three floors are not great if you have 80+ knees, but they are for the view ! We also enjoyed the location and access to the boardwalk to the beach. As for the staff of Port A Escapes, they were great as usual.
We have used this management co. for the past several years, and we will again !

Beautiful house and location
Here are some of the things we enjoyed about our house and stay.
*loved the 3 floor plan for 5 adults and 4 kids! When they were in the basement game room and we were in living room, the noise was like background! ��
*beautifully appointed house. Nice king suite on 3rd floor, and 5 BR and 3 full bathrooms on 2nd floor
*the walk to the beach was so fun and easy! Nice quiet beach. Lots of people but very family oriented. We had plenty of room for our pop up canopy and for kids to play nearby.
*the private pool was wonderful! NOTE: the pool was quite cloudy and sandy when we arrived. We called the oncall number within 2 hours of arrival Friday pm. Never received a return call.... Called again the next afternoon and someone did come to assess and check, then later that day arrived to retreat (shock) the pool. It did look better by Sunday morning.
*kitchen had everything you may have wanted for cooking facilities and storage

Overall, we loved this house and location!

A Great Beach House
This house was definitely a great beach house. The house had a definite beach vibe and had all the amenities you needed and then some. It was definite walking distance to the beach and if you didn't want to do the beach for a day then you could swim in the pool. My family was very happy with the place. This house was the perfect escape for a beach vacation.

The elevator and golf cart make the difference here!
All as described, clean, kitchen well stocked, comfy.

For convenience, the elevator is a lifesaver for stocking up on groceries and such... the golf cart included takes the cake for getting supplies and ppl out to the beach!

We go to Port Aransas every year for our annual family vacation. This was our first time using Port A Escapes and staying in the House Of Views, we stayed for 5 days. We were very impressed with the house. Very clean, kitchen is FULLY stocked with cookware and utensils, plenty of space, awesome view of the ocean and a great pool. Our only complaint is the AC would not keep the 1st and 2nd floor cool. The unit was set to 74 but couldnt get the lower levels below 80 degrees. Other than that great house. We will be booking again next year.

Perfect Family Fun

Family Vacation
Our family enjoyed our stay at the House of Views. Even though it is off the beach, I understand why the home is named House of Views.
The large third floor room which includes the kitchen, family room and access to the porch facing the ship channel was much larger than the pictures show. The kitchen was fully equipped to meet our needs.
The house needs some maintenance repairs with the kitchen faucet, light bulbs, and in the second floor bathrooms. We also enjoyed use of the golf cart, but did not realize we had to call another company to get the code. The information was not in the house.
The property was clean. The manager responded promptly to our questions regarding the middle floor A/C. The beach, pool, golf cart, and house provided our entertainment so we did not venture out to any restaurants.
In comparing the prices of other homes, we were very pleased and would consider returning to this home again.

Fabulous Property
This beautiful home exceeded our expectations. All 12 of us who stayed there were impressed by the decor and all the details that made it delightful. Located just a few feet from the boardwalk to the beach, the house offered impressive views of the water. We only had two minor complaints, an air hockey table that didn't work and a metal dining chair that needed repair. These were the only tiny flaws in an otherwise perfect experience.

House of Views, great location for large family!
House of Views made our week in Port A absolutely fun and memorable! The property lives up to its name with great outdoor and indoor areas. We especially enjoyed the pool, community room, and outdoor eating areas. We would rent it again!
