My favorite rental in Port A
This house is amazing. It’s super close to the beach. The house is so roomy and has 2 separate living areas. Great for large groups or multiple families. It was the best stocked house I have ever rented. Anything you need they had. We have been to Port at least 18 times and this is the best house we have rented.

Family Beach Trip 2025
We had three generations of fun last weekend in Port A. This was our second year staying in this house because it’s perfect for us! The layout with kids upstairs, grandparents and parents on main living level and two other parent couples on the lower level worked brilliantly. Being able to just walk over the boardwalk (no golf carts required) was really convenient! The shaded pool in the afternoon worked perfectly after enough sun at the beach. The kitchen, bar, long tables, game table and sitting area by TV all worked perfectly for meals, movies and games! Being able to park all four vehicles was also a benefit. We just had the best time enjoying ourselves! We plan to rebook again for next year once everyone gets their vacation times secured.

Perfect for Our Family
We have been coming to Port A as a family for 24 years. We have relied on Port A Escapes for the perfect house as our family has grown. Our family of 12 had a wonderful time in this house. It checked off all the boxes, king size beds & private baths for the adults and two queen beds in the other three rooms with shared baths for the kids. We loved the pool and the decks to sit and relax. The house was clean and had anything you could imagine in the kitchen. It was even labeled for easy locating. The boardwalk over to the beach was good for an evening stroll. This area is great and very family oriented. Hope to grab this place up again for next year.

Annual Family Beach Week
For 21 years, we have gathered our children and grandchildren - as the numbers grew - for a week at the beach. It is the highlight of our year! This year, we experienced the finest accommodation ever. This home is spacious and beautifully decorated. We loved sitting together at the table (seating for 14+) for meals. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we were excited to try cooking on the Induction stove. The great room is spacious - while some watched the Olympics on the TV, others could talk at the table or piece a jigsaw puzzle on the game table. Though not large, the pool was perfect for cooling off while we watched our 4-year-old learn to swim. The home is a few steps from the boardwalk, leading directly to the beach.

Sand Sisters 2023
We had a wonderful time! House is spacious for 13 ladies enjoying time together. Pool had a lot of sand; but it only took an e-mail and by the time we came back from the beach, it was cleaned!

Family Fun
Impressed by the cleanliness and well stocked kitchen. Quick walk to the beach and easy access to the IGA and local shops and restaurants. We loved having the second family room space in the lower level.

Room to spread out!
We had a 12 person mini-reunion, and the three floors plus outdoor decks allowed plenty of room for 5 kids and 7 adults to spread out. We will absolutely book this property again if in the area!

Family Beach Trip
Excellent for our family of 8 adults and 9 grandkids. Worked out great for all. Pool for kids and beach a 2 minute walk to the beach.

Mini Family Get-A-Way
Our experience was excellent. There was plenty of space for our family yo strech out and relax. Quick access to the beach and the swimming pool was a big hit for the kids. Family friendly environment. All necessities were available. The only mix up on my part was the availability of the elevator. My family will definitely return. Everyone we encountered from check-in to check-out were professional and personable.

Fabulous Family Vacation
We absolutely loved everything about it except for loud music from people right behind us it went from 11 to 11 one day. We did call the office and they tried to do something about it but I think the people just ignored them. We would certainly go
Back though because they checked out the third day and that probably wouldn’t happen again.

A great family house!
We really enjoyed everything about this house...the location was fantastic, there was so much room, great kitchen with loads of utensils and gadgets, clean bathrooms, great pool.

Island O'Aces
We reserved through Port A Escapes and the experience from beginning to end of the trip was great. The house was stocked well, close to the beach, great air-conditioning,pool. Everything was as advertised and more. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend. We were a party of 11 and everyone had a bed, the house had games that the kids enjoyed very much although most of the time was spent in the pool or at the beach. Definitely a winner. Thanks!!

The house was extremely well equipped to handle our big group! Everyone loved the pool and beach access as well. Our only hiccup was the pool needed cleaning upon arrival and management took care of it, so all was well.

End of Summer Getaway
Perfect for our extended family. Spacious living, dining and porch areas. Grandchildren loved the pool. Quiet location, yet quick boardwalk to beach. Well appointed home. Only complaint is for a home that can host a large group, maybe provide more than two dish rags and more than one extra kitchen trash bag. Otherwise loved it and would stay again.

Giant Family beach trip post Harvey
We had a great time at this rental. Everything was very clean, organized and well stocked. All the remotes and light switches were labeled making things very easy. We were a big group of adults and kids and there was plenty of room to spread out. We were worried about what we would find in Port A after Hurricane Harvey. There is a lot of damage in the town and a lot of debris piled up to be removed. This house was spared and is in great condition. There were other families having fun on the beach. There wasn't any thing weird washing up on shore. The beach seemed clean and safe. The grocery store and gas stations and a few bars and restaurants are up and running. We were happy we didn't cancel.

Great vacation rental in Port A! We have stayed at many rental homes over the years and this was by far one of the best. The home was very clean, well stocked, and convenient to beach access. We are already looking forward to planning our next stay at Island O'Aces!!

2016 Christmas Getaway
We had problem with the first rental, the property manager helped us solve the problem right the way, moved us to another rental property, with even better view of the beach, our group was happy.

House was well equipped and well maintained. Washing machine leaked but I'm sure maintenance fixed it. Great access to beach. Only complaint is you can't check in until 4:00 pm and you have to be out by 11:00 am which means you basically pay for a full day you can't use the place

O'Axes it is
We were 15 people. 11 Adults 4 kids everyone had a place to sleep and we were all comfortable. This home came with everything you can think of except a large electric grill for making pancakes for such a large group. Walk to beach was short. Pool was fun for kids at any hour. I would come back again. Needed kitchen hand size towels, wasted to much paper towels.

Awesome house in prime location
Stayed at the Island O Aces for three nights in July and had a great time. House was clean and in like new condition when we arrived. Plenty of space for a group of 14 with three kids and the house has plenty to offer like a private covered pool and some poker tables with various games. A nice upper deck with good views of the water and nice patio furniture to lounge on. I definitely will be returning here as it is a short walking distance to the beach

Island oasis
It was a very nice house and the stay went well. We had a couple of items that didn't work ( blender, ice maker, & TV) but maintance came right away. Overall we were satisfied. The only downfall is that they won't let you in the house until 4PM regardless if the house is done or not, so don't get there before 4. They will make it seem like you can if its done, but it is not going to happen so don't get there early. Pool was nice & house was clean. Overall, we liked the house and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home!
Booked this home for a weekend women's group and it was great. Beautiful home and wow......fully stocked with all the amenities. We only had to bring our food and drinks. Our group of 13 all had a bed to sleep on. Some shared but with all beds being Queen or king there was plenty of room. Beds were very comfy as well. The laundry room was down stairs which we did not find until the last day. Has plenty of extra towels and we found the bath rugs that the owner mentioned for us to clean. They had not been put in the bathrooms which was not a problem it was just a little confusing with the instructions to wash the rugs before you leave. If I have to say one negative it would be that there needs to be a larger sofa in the main living area. For as many people as the home accommodates we were surprised by the size of the sofa and love seat. We had to gather up chairs to all be together, which there are plenty of. Loved the large dining table and kitchen bar. Very close to the beach which is awesome. Pool looks bigger in the pictures! the home in this area are very close together so privacy may be an issue for you if you are out on the decks. We would definitely chose to stay her again!!!

Wonderful, amazing home!
We rented the house for a weekend getaway with 3 other families. Total there were 8 adults and 5 children. This house had plenty of room for all of us - plenty of kitchen items, drinkware, etc.; plenty of games, card decks; plenty of seating; plenty of instructions throughout the home on where to find what, how to use remotes, wifi, was great! Home is well decorated, too!

The pool was on the cooler side because it is covered, but that was a bonus as it was a hot weekend with red tide on the beach. We also loved the close access to the beach and the beach views. The pool also came with plenty of pool toys, which was great for the kids. The deck was also amazing with plenty of seating and table room for everyone. The bedrooms are on the smaller side, but all we used them for is sleeping...don't need much room for that.

None of us walked away with any complaints! It was a great stay and we'll definitely consider this house or ones nearby it for future trips.

Pastoral Staff Retreat
The house was perfect. 6 Couples, six bedrooms. The home was extremely well equipped. Had everything we needed for cooking meals; bathrooms had it all; 2nd floor balcony was roomy and furniture was very nice. Living areas were spacious and accommodated all 12 of us nicely. 2 issues we had were the garage door did not raise high enough to get our 15 passenger van into the garage and we could not park our rented carts from Bron's in the garage because the signs on top of the buggies hit the garage door. Anything smaller than a 15 passenger van would most likely fit. A 4 wheel
Drive pickup probably not. The other issue was the close proximity of the neighboring houses. If someone was on the balcony, you were only a few feet away from them. But, I would still give our stay a 9.5 out of 10.

Kids loved it!
The house is very nice and a short walk to the beach. The house is very spacious. It fit 8 adults and 9 kids comfortably. The only problem was fitting pack-n-play in the bedrooms because they are tight with the big furniture. The kids loved the private pool and learning to play poker! Owners had a selection of pool toys, sand toys, boogie boards and even a tandem bike. We had a great time with our big family!

Memorial Weekend 2015

Pleasant Time
The Banyan Beach area is a nice neighborhood with close proximity to the boardwalk to the beach. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had a wide variety of appliances and gadgets for anything you might need. There was plenty of nice silverware, plenty of plates and bowls, cups and stemware. This was probably the best supplied kitchen we've ever stayed in in Port Aransas. Also, the linens were nice, crisp and new. The patio furniture was stylish, maybe a little damp from the dew, but that is unavoidable.

The home was conducive to playing cards, both upstairs and down, which we really enjoyed. The home was built with quality and was a pleasure to stay in. We slept comfortably.
The bedrooms and restrooms were on the small side, but served their purpose just fine. The bedrooms were decorated with designer quality linens and fixtures. We really appreciated being able to come and go from the two car garage.

The only surprise was being asked to wash the bath rugs. I wasn't prepared with soap powder and the time, but after a quick visit to the store to buy some soap powder, I did manage to start a load as asked.

We would definitely consider staying here again as this house is definitely at the top of any of the rentals we've stayed before.

WE'RE ALREADY PLANNING OUR NEXT TRIP!
We haven't stopped talking about our visit to the beach house. We went with a few families and lots of kids and this house was made for accommodating a large group. With game tables, tons of dinning seats, the tasteful beachy decor, the pool and more, our stay was perfect. We were concerned how close the beach was and it's just a few steps away! The tandom bike was a fun plus too!

Awesome Property Very Good Location For Large Groups
Owing to some changes, this was a last minute rental for our group. The staff (Sylvia and her colleagues) at the property management company “Port Aransas Escapes” were courteous, efficient, professional and true to their company motto “Associate with Excellence”.

We were able to book the property seamlessly, got all our questions answered and had a staff available at this Island O'Aces (BB919) property - ready and clean for us, when we arrived. The check in process was simple and quick and the house was as described on the website so there were no surprises.

With quick access to the beach, the 6 bedroom, 5 full-bath house spread over three levels is good for large groups of up to 15 to 18 people and is an ideal place for family reunions and for folks who would like to cook or grill outdoors. The grocery place was just a 3 to 4 minutes drive. The house was clean, well organized, with ample seating/dining space for our large group. Two refrigerators (on two levels) allowed for ample stocking space and the kitchen utensils and cutlery was sufficient for a large group.

The outdoor patio on level two was gorgeous with seating for over 12 people. The pool while not heated (we wished it was as we rented over the Christmas holidays) was quite big and kid friendly. Adding a hot tub and heating the pool would add a lot of value to renters – particularly during the winter months.

The bedrooms could have been a little bigger – no big deal as we used in only during night to sleep. One of the two bedrooms on the third level has a great sea view!

Overall an excellent new property, located very close to the beach with great amenities. We enjoyed every moment we were there and we would recommend it to our friends and family.

Weekend Getaway
We arrived (16 of us) to find a beautiful spacious home with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen-living area was incredible. We were just a very short walk to the very pedestrian friendly beach. Wonderful trip.
