WHAT TO EXPECT
Looney Dunes is a three-story coastal home with a layout that offers comfortable shared spaces and private sleeping areas for families and groups. The elevator provides convenient access to all three floors, making it easier to move throughout the home.

The kitchen, dining, and living areas create a welcoming space to gather, prepare meals, and relax between beach outings. With bedrooms on the first and second floors, guests have flexible sleeping arrangements and room to spread out.

The rooftop terrace is a special place to enjoy coastal breezes and elevated views. Start the morning with coffee outside or unwind in the evening after a day exploring Port Aransas.

When it's time to cool off, take a dip in the private pool or rinse away the sand in the outdoor shower. Guests can also enjoy the two heated community pools within Village Walk.

COMMUNITY CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
The Village Walk community is scheduled for street construction from mid-September through mid-October, weather permitting. During this time, guests may need to use alternate community parking areas and may experience construction-related noise. Parking will remain available within the community. Guests will receive a reminder about the ongoing project after booking.

A few issues
The house was nice, and we enjoyed the pool as well as the observation deck. The air conditioner in the lower unit was not cooling. Port A escapes were notified immediately. They were very prompt to send someone out. A part had to be ordered , so a portable A/C unit was brought in which cooled the unit a bit. In addition, a door to the elevator shaft did not lock when the elevator was on another floor. This was a HUGE safety issue especially with children in the home. Again, after notification, someone was sent out immediately and the repair was made. Thank goodness no one was injured! All in all we enjoyed our stay

Could have been better
The location was great the view to the beach was amazing, started off with the house not being ready at 4 we didn't get to check in until after 5. We sat at the Texan at 4 until we got the check in text. Got an email the day of that the stove and oven were not working, and we could not use it for the time of our stay they would provide a portable hot plate which was fine but when you're cooking for 12 people and not able to use the stove/oven that becomes a problem. The refrigerator was not cooling we kept our stuff in the freezer to keep them cold. The bottom room smelled really bad not sure what it was, but we could not get rid of the smell. The bottom room also did not have central ac it was a portable ac unit, so the room never got cold ended up sleeping in the living room on the sofas. The bathroom downstairs also had a smell. when I got home my kids said they noticed there might have been mold up on the ceiling in the bottom bathroom which could have been the smell. We asked for a late check out because of the problems we had just to sleep in a little and they did not grant us that despite the issues. This trip could have been better. As we were packing up to leave, they came to get the old stove so they could put in a new on perfect timing for the next guest.

We did want to make sure you were aware before your arrival that the stove was not operational, which is why we reached out twice prior to your stay. We were actively working with the owner to have it replaced and had planned for the installation during your visit. Unfortunately, the new stove wasn't delivered until the last day of your stay. We understand how inconvenient that was, especially for a larger group, and appreciate your patience. Regarding check-in, our check-in time begins at 4:00 p.m., and we always do our best to have homes ready as close to that time as possible while ensuring they meet our cleaning and inspection standards. We also understand your request for a late checkout; however, because another guest was arriving that same day, we were unable to accommodate it. We weren't notified about the refrigerator, the odor in the downstairs bedroom and bathroom, and the A/C concerns and we would have been happy to send our maintenance team to investigate and address them. Wonderful place to stay
We had an amazing stay at Looney Dunes in Port Aransas! This beautiful 4-bedroom home comfortably sleeps 12 and was perfect for our family vacation. Our favorite part was definitely the private pool—it was the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach. The spacious open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen made it easy for everyone to gather together, whether we were cooking meals, playing games, or just spending time together. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We made so many great memories here and would absolutely stay at Looney Dunes again. The elevator was a great feature in our 3 story home. The roof was a great place to watch the sun come up.

Perfect beach house!
We enjoyed our stay in this cute home! The kids loved all the colors incorporated. The roof top and balcony had amazing views of the ocean. The location was perfect also! We would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Perfect for our extended family of 10
This space was perfect for us! Close enough to everything and just the right size. The selling point was the table for 12; we cooked and ate together with no one having to sit at the kids table! We loved the heated community pool that was just a few steps away. Port A is one of our favorite places, Port A Excapes helped us capture that.

Spring Break 2025

Looney Dunes
Overall the property was good and we had a great time. Floors were pretty dirty when we arrived and many of the kitchen amenities need to be repaired/replaced.

July 2024 - Six adults, a 4 year old and a 7 month old
Our extended family had wonderful stay here. We enjoyed sitting on the top balcony and watching the clouds and beach. The house and pool were clean and comfortable. The open kitchen and living area were perfect. The bedrooms and baths were perfect for our family. We traveled to the beach in our cars and did not rent a golf cart.

Great Trip!
Looney Dunes was an excellent size for my family of 9. We all fit comfortably and had plenty of space to rest after a day at the beach. The pool was well maintained and a nice break from the sand. The kitchen had quite a few amenities, though the coffee makers appeared to be older/ not functioning well and the dishes needed to be washed prior to use. You can’t beat the view from the roof deck, where we enjoyed many happy hours. Felt safe and secure during our stay, and everything we needed was close by! We had a wonderful time!

Great Family House
Great house for a large group and kids. The pool is a nice addition and the elevator helped with unloading and loading from the car. Highly recommend, will book again!

Family Beach Trip
Trip was great! Beds were comfortable & pool was amazing! There is an elevator however it is quite loud from downstairs bedroom. There are A LOT of stairs to this house so be prepared for that. Great views from balcony & roof top deck. Overall good stay!
