Recently redecorated by its new owners with updates including a new AC in 2024, this coastal getaway sleeps up to six guests and offers Gulf views from its private balcony. Located on the third and top floor of Beachhead Condos, Tortuga View offers Gulf views and the benefit of having no neighbors above you. Please note that the building does not have elevator access.

The open living and dining areas provide a comfortable gathering space after a day in the sun. Settle in for a movie on the large flat-screen TV, which offers both cable and streaming capabilities, or enjoy the supplied board games and puzzles together on a rainy day.

The well-equipped kitchen includes both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker, making it easy to enjoy your preferred morning coffee. Prepare meals at home or cook your catch of the day before heading out to the private balcony to enjoy the view and sea breeze.

The primary bedroom features a king bed, TV, and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin-over-twin bunk beds and an additional twin trundle, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for families and groups. The condo accommodates a maximum of six guests.

Misleading photos and Descriptions
Read the details about this listing if booking on VRBO. The photos make it seem and describe them as if the rental is on the first floor next to the pool. They also falsely represent the properties shared amenity center as being your living room, private terrace, private breakfast area and private game room.. I wouldn't rent here again after being misled and clearly bamboozled by the listing photos

We're sorry the listing left you feeling misled. We certainly never want a guest to arrive and feel like the property isn't what they expected. Tortuga View BH405 is a third-floor condo, and the listing does identify it as being on the third/top floor with no elevator access. The pool, game room, gathering areas, and other spaces shown are shared Beachhead community amenities rather than private areas within the condo. That said, we appreciate you pointing out how the photos and amenity descriptions appeared to you when booking through VRBO. We'll review how the property and shared amenities are presented there to see where we can make the distinction even clearer. Wonderful stay
We enjoyed our stay. The decor is beautiful and everything we wanted was available and in great condition. All of the light switches are labeled and the fans have light and fan pulls so you don't have to guess. Two coffee pots. The dishwasher has a light in it. All of the appliances looked new. Lots of special attention was paid to this property. We found puzzles, books and games plus tvs in every room. We would stay here again and would recommend that you stay here too.

Great location and very comfortable
Property is very clean, plenty of linens, towels, cooking utensils, etc., as advertised and would stay again. Very comfortable.
A couple of suggestions . It would be nice to include in the listing what floor the unit is on. I suppose being on the beach you should expect it to be multilevel.
The check-in process should be better explained. When we arrived at 4 PM ,the unit has still not been inspected, we had not received instructions and did not know how to get in until calling the rental company. Having known an expectation or check in process would have prevented our call or confusion.
The other suggestion would be to include a small safe in closet.
Overall great unit and would book it again.

Beautiful home!
Gorgeous home! We love staying at Beachhead and this was the perfect spot for my moms and I and my 3 kids. Clean, great location and we love walking to the beach. We hope to be back in October!

Fabulous Balcony Ocean View and Condo

Great Getaway!
I took my two 16-year-old daughters and 2 of their friends for a little girls' beach getaway. The condo location was great, right on the beach and the condo itself was super cute, comfy, clean and nicely decorated. The master bedroom was huge and the king bed was super comfortable. Our only issue was the TV in the living room did not work. I called to have it repaired but the property management company office was closed for the day. I called again the next morning and they sent someone promptly to repair it. It took him awhile to figure out what was going on and he eventually fixed it but unfortunately, the fix was short-lived and the tv stopped responding to the remote control again. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to unwinding with a movie in the evenings after a long beach day and weren't able to watch it on the big screen tv. Other than that, everything at the condo was great!

Good place to stay!
We came in on a Thursday evening and the first night was hectic. The condo we were staying in had something wrong with the breaker box and we kept loosing electricity. Frank (the onsite maintenance) went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we were comfortable! He gave us his personal cell so he could come flip the breaker throughout the night. Port A escapes offered to move us Thursday night but we just toughed it out because we have 2 chidden under 5 and they were already in bed. Friday morning we got a call that Port A Escapes was going to be moving us and made sure we were 100% taken care of. All of this was out of everyones control but the customer service with the staff at Beachhead and Port A Escapes made the trip great!

Our Stay
We really enjoyed our stay in Beachhead this past winter. Weather was much better than the year before and we loved all the upgrades to our Condo and to Beachhead in general. The pool and area was wonderful!

4th of July family trip

405BH VAC. REVEIW
I was very impressed with the well stocked kitchen. I kept hitting my knee on the corner of the bed in the master bedroom, coming out of the bathroom, I stuffed a pillow between the bed and mattress, TV was to small. The condo was very clean and the staff we're very friendly and helpful. I was so happy that our rental was ready by 2:30. Thank you so much.

Our First Experience as a Winter Texan
Except for the weather not being as good as would have liked, we enjoyed our stay in Beachhead Condos. The condo was well supplied and the rental company was extremely good at immediately taking care of any concerns we had. The updates made to the pool and pool area were fantastic! Looking forward to using the updated laundry area next year. The residents of Port Aransas were very welcoming!

Great Condo!
Great condo with a short walk to the beach (bring a wagon) and a really great pool. Condo very clean and well maintained with a great floor plan. Would definitely stay there again.

Beach Condo
The location of the condo was great. There’s a boardwalk that takes you to the beach. Overall, the condo was nice. The king bed was a bit wonky as it slopes to the right. The door to the balcony didn’t shut but we were on the second floor.

Too much fun
The condo was renovated and clean. It has beach access (boardwalk and a road) and is close to downtown fun! Staff was easy to work with and very communicative. Don't let the exterior fool you!

Nice location and clean condo
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The space was adequate and the table was large enough for all 6 of us to sit around. We loved that we were able to walk to the beach just down the boardwalk.
The place was clean, but the sofas' finish was disintegrating. The 'fully stocked' kitchen was a little light on cooking utensils and cookware. Though the freezer kept the ice we bought frozen, it took the freezer took 3 days to freeze our drinks we put in when we arrived.
The fridge kept everything cold and was nice and large.
The beds weren't really that comfortable, and though the bed in the master bedroom was lovely, it had an attack foot board that we all have bruises on our shins from accidentally hitting it on the way to the bathroom.
Also walking up two flights of stairs was difficult esp. when loading and loading the cars. But we were happy with our stay.

Sandfest getaway

Great Vacation
The only problem we had was the master sink would not drain unless we unscrewed and removed the plate at the bottom of the sink. We told the maintenance crew on the property but they told us they would have to order a new part. The condo was very clan and well updated. The beach access was very close, although this particular unit did not have a great ocean view. None of the TV remotes worked, and it would have been nice to have a TV in the master bedroom. We booked a 5 night stay and were only provided 1 trash bag which was an inconvenience, although the maintenance man gave me a couple extra for the kitchen when I approached him about the sink.

Very nice. One suggestion that would have made it better: This unit needs some room darkening shades in both bedrooms because one bedroom overlooks the pool area which is highly lit up at night for safety; the other bedroom has blinds that do not close adequately.

Nice Family Vacation.
Very nice condo. The distance is not too far from the beach and the pool is just around the corner. Just enough room for my family of 4. A short drive to shopping and restaurants. Check in/check out could not have been easier. All in all a very lovely stay.

Family Vacation
We stayed in Under The Sea for 4 nights. We loved the location the most! Easy access to the beach was a huge plus! The only thing that was disappointin was that the remotes for the TV did not work (they weren't even the right brand) and there was a cable missing for the DVD player. We have a 2 year old, so in the afternoons, it would've been nice to havE been able to turn on a movie to relax. Other than that, our stay was everything we hoped it would be and more!

Under The Sea 405BH stay
Our stay was very enjoyable. The condo was updated and very clean and the overall condo complex was kept in excellent condition - The trash cans were emptied every day, the BBQ grills cleaned out, and the pool was crystal clear. Our kids enjoyed the playscape and the walk across the boardwalk to the beach was both beautiful and an easy two minutes.

Nice Beach Getaway

Updated decor and very clean!
I was pleasantly surprised with the condo (2BR 2BTH). It was nicely updated and very clean. My family and I went on the Memorial Day Weekend, and the pool was never crowded. It had easy access to the beach, and the grounds were were nicely kept. I would definitely stay here again.

Went with a group of 5 lady's. Plenty of space for sleeping, dining and relaxing. I have stayed at Beachhead several times. The over all location is great. Easy access to the beach via the boardwalk. Short walk to the Sandfest.

Great location, seriously understocked kitchen
The unit was clean and nice. And being near town with a direct boardwalk to the beach is the big selling point. Also, the pool is very well kept and better than most of the condo pools in that area. However, don't plan on cooking if you rent this unit. There are very few usable cooking tools in the kitchen.

Exceptional value
We recently spent 3 days with our 2 granddaughters at Beachead. Under the Sea #405 was a treat. Everything was updated, clean, well maintained, well managed and well stocked with everything needed to make our stay stress free. Perfect location with lots of amenities and quick access to beach and town, yet still very private. We have moved this unit to the top of our list for future visits.

Vacation at the Coast
Our family rented two condos from PAE for 2 days in Nov. The condos and the stay and the weather was really great. We know that the property company owns several condo properties down there so it may be hard for them to know what each specific room has as far as furnishings. When we called to see if specific rooms have specific items the staff did not know so it was basically a **** shoot if a room had a iron, hair dryer or a slow cooker ect or not. As customers we need to know what to bring. In my opinion a very simple solution would be to audit each room create an MS Excel worksheet mark off the items that each room has so it can be easily searched by room number with ease. Nice condos!

Great location!
This was the best vacation. The place was outstanding. The trail to beach was convenient. The rooms were great. We loved hanging out at the pool. We loved going to the beach. The nearby restaurant Moby Dicks is a great place to eat. Everything was great. Would love to come again.

The property was great but management was a little rude and snoody. My daughters and I were swming in the pool five minutes after the pool closed we were asked to leave and the manager followed us down to the park area and watched us for At least 10 minutes. I felt like a child that was being disobedient. Not a way I want to feel while enjoying my vacation and amenities I paid for. Other than that experience the room and views were amazing.

Great unit. Nice updates, view,& family get-away. Need new couch.
This is a lovely unit. We arrived late Friday ans noticed the floors were very sandy. We called the management company the next morning and they sent cleaning staff right away. Very nice updates, nice private balcony view, pool is very clean and never crowded. Would rent this unit again. Now, for the negative: the couch in this unit is awful- you can't sit in it without it sinking all the way down above your knees. Also, there are no kitchen utensils to speak off- a few wooden spoons and a potato masher- that's it! So, cooking was a challenge. It would be nice to have a TV in the master bedroom.

The condo was surprisingly comfortable, and had plenty of additional beds that we weren't expecting. The kitchen was clean and had plenty of clean utensils and plates. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the access to the pool. The internet didn't work very well at all, which was a shame. And we found the keys they provided to not work very well with the front door lock ... and it was annoying to struggle to lock the door each time we left the condo. Other than that, this was a pleasant stay!

Nice updated condo
We liked the condo, the king bed was very comfortable, and the trundle beds came in handy. The decor was updated and cheerful. Would have liked more of a view. The beach and water had a lot of seaweed, that was our only downside.

Spring Break
This place was amazing and a great fit for my husband and kids. The condo was beautiful and had a great layout. I wish I would have taken more plasticware to not have to wash so many dishes but that was just something I did not think of. I think we will do it again next year!

Port Aransas GREAT Escapes
This was our first experience with Port Aransas Escapes and I have to say, it was a great one. The Condo was very nice and clean and was very close to shops, dinning, and grocery store. The grounds are well kept with a playground and direct beach access making it much very easy for our family to plan our day. The property was quiet and intimate and just what we were looking for.

First time vacation to the gulf
We had a wonderful experience as first time vacationers to the coast!! Perfect location so close to the beach!! Very family friendly with a great little park in the center. The kids can easily stayed entertained. Loved our two bedroom condo with everything you need its like a home awat from home. Can't wait to go back, next time maybe without the kids!! I will definitely stay with them again!

We have stayed here before and it was just as great as last time. The place was clean and very nicely decorated. The only problem we had was that last time the DVD didn't work and this time we couldn't get the wifi to work but all in all it was very nice.

Great location, very good ammenities
I took a group of people to stay in a couple of these condos, and we all had a great time. The walk to the beach is very easy (although we weren't carrying anything). We were all adults, but I could see this being great for a small family as well.

Port A - A great place for families!
This is second year I have taken my daughter and my two grandsons (ages 9 & 6) to Port A. They actually requested to return this year. We played in the surf w/skim boards, tubes, etc. Flew kites, built sand castles and looked for shells. Restaurants are close and good food. We especially liked the Brewing Company pizza place. Saw beautiful sunset from Virginia's by the Bay. The Coldwell Banker people we dealt with were wonderful and so very helpful. Condo was large enough for us all and couldn't have asked for a better location. My 6 year old grandson says that the excitement of seeing your condo for the first time and getting a feel for the place is one of his favorite things. You passed his test. See you all at Port A next year!
