Open, bright, and airy this home called With a Splash VW60 lives up to its name with its 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths that easily accommodate 11 people. There is an elevator that services all three floors! Views of the Gulf of Mexico from the roof-top deck. Private pool, too! No pets allowed at this property. STR#381438

Before traveling to Port Aransas/Village Walk please PLAN in accordance to the rules below:
1) VW 60 provides 4 medium sized paved parking spaces, 3 in the driveway and 1 in the garage. If you rent a golf cart it must fit in 1 of the 4 spaces.
2) Parking Tags will be provided by Port Aransas Escapes Vacation Rentals.
3) All vehicles must be parked in the driveway of VW 60. No Street Parking, No Parking in Red Zones, and No Parking in other Village Walk Driveways
4) No Boats, Trailers, Buses, RV’s allowed.
5) Towing is strictly enforced

Beautiful property with private pool!
Overall, we loved the property and having a private pool all to ourselves was amazing! It was beautifully decorated and furnished with plenty of dishes, comfortable beds and seats for everyone. Having a garage to store beach stuff was fantastic! I wish there had been a few more bath towels (only 1 per person) and beach access (boardwalk to the beach). When I clicked "beach access" and "beach view" on the website, this property came up, but I discovered the website reads the filters as "or" not "and" so it was showing me properties with beach access OR beach view (not both). The elevator also makes some noise even when not in use. Most of the rooms could not hear it, but the first floor bedroom could and it woke me up hourly the first night until I got some earplugs. The microwave/vent hood above the stove doesn't seem to work, but they also have a counter microwave. Overall, we liked it but probably wouldn't stay there again due to having to drive to the beach.

Coming back to ‘With a Splash’
This amazing rental has 3 king bedrooms and a bunk room, which is hard to find, an elevator, and a beautiful pool. It just doesn’t get any better than that for our family. We enjoyed a short golf cart ride to the beach and also loved that we could walk out the back and swim in our own pool. Bedrooms were down stairs so some could sleep and others could visit upstairs. The view from the 3rd floor balcony was perfect, but the view from the roof was amazing! The open floor plan on the third floor was just right for our extended family of ten. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and well kept and when we needed anything the management team was quick to respond with a solution. We are definitely coming back to this property in the future.

Annual Family Beach Teip
Our overall stay was a great. The location to the beach is close. The pool was a big hit for the kids and adults too. The elevator was very helpful for my Mom as there are three levels to navigate. We enjoyed the roof top deck in the evening to watch the sunset and feel the ocean breeze. The rental was clean, plenty of cookware to make meals. I definitely think we would book this location again.

Amazing House!
This was a great rental! I had elderly family and having the elevator made it so much easier for them to go through each level of the house. The place has a lot of room and was clean.

#60 With a Splash
It was everything that we’d hoped for. It is a large house, you had to make sure that you had all your ducks in a row when you were leaving one floor to go to another, or you’d put in a lot of steps up and down. You could be lazy and use the elevator though. When we arrived the elevator was not working, our management team sent maintenance over within minutes. The team thought that they would need to order a part. I called back a couple days later and they actually sent the owner of the elevator company over in just a few minutes, he adjusted the electronic eyes and had it working soon after. Excellent service both from our management team and their employees!!! If you want a large, beautiful home to rent, this is it!!

Beautiful Disappointment
This was our second time staying at WITH A SPLASH. Last time it was a pristine experience, so we had no issues with staying here again.

There were only a couple of issues this time, but one was a pretty big deal.

The elevator was inoperable from the moment we arrived and was not repaired during our stay. The issue was definitely addressed and they had maintenance come but were unable to fix it. An elevator company was reached out to, but nobody had arrived by the time we departed. This made things very difficult to have to carry our items up so many flights of stairs. One of our party actually fell down the stairs but she was luckily not seriously injured. The second issue was the freezers ice dispenser was frozen over and was not able to provide ice, nut that was not a huge issue.

Had the elevator worked normally, this would have been another amazing experience. So I hope they had it repaired or at least advised the next renters that it was inoperable.

All other aspects of the rental were amazing. Port A Escapes staff are very friendly and easy to work with.

I am hoping this gets situated so we can consider giving it another chance next year. We shall see.

We recently stayed at With a Splash and had a good experience. The home is large with 4 bedrooms. We appreciated that 3 of the 4 bedrooms had king beds and there was a bunk room for the kids. The top floor living space was perfect, large kitchen w. dining table and living room. We comfortably had 10 people at the table. The private pool was amazing, perfect for kids as there is a shallow shelf.

There were a few things I think the property could improve upon. There was not hand soap at every sink. The dishwasher does not appear to work. While it would turn on and spray water, nothing got super clean or dry (even when heat dry used). We contacted the property management company multiple times and got no response. So be prepared to hand wash everything. Hopefully they will fix it. We also arrived right after the hurricane, and so I'm assuming the fact that there were a lot of bugs in the downstairs rooms (1st floor) is due to that, hopefully they will spray.

The other thing to know about this home is that its not very close to the beach. You have a good view from top floors but there is no boardwalk. The walk to the beach is a little over 1/2 mile BUT when carrying lots of stuff/children walk isnt that easy. Right now you cant drive on the beach so we found the location a bit difficult. Luckily we found a parking lot on beach access road 1A (an RV park) with paid parking. So we paid $15 a day to park there so we didnt have to lug stuff 1/2 mile. It worked out well. Once you can drive on the beach again, i dont think location would be an issue at all.

We would consider staying here again if the property management company fixed the above issues.

Where to stay in Port A
My guests and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in With a Splash (many pieces of mermaid artwork explain the name). The location to town and beach are ideal. The view from the top deck is 360. The house is well designed, well appointed and comfortable.
As might be expected in a rental property, the house’s interior shows some wear. Ideally, it would be nice to see an upgrade in the quality of bedding and cookware. Though we noticed these things, they really didin’t detract from our enjoyment very much.

Beautifully Upgraded Home
This home was absolutely beautiful. It was perfect for multiple couples wishing to get their own rooms. Not to mention, the pool is an amazing amenity to have after being on the hot beach all day.

Quiet surroundings--just the ocean's roar upon the shore. Astounding view of the Gulf from roof-top deck. Impeccably clean; comfortable beds; friendly property management; well-maintained pool and outdoor area. Easily accessible to town and beach.

Gorgeous home!
We had found what we thought to be the perfect home but it sold and new owners did not want to rent out. back to square one! This house was sooo much better than the first. It is beautifully decorated. We absolutely loved everything about it. The pool and elevator an added plus! We will be back!!!

Fabulous family weekend
Brand new home, fabulously decorated. Absolutely pristine condition. Fully stocked with everything we needed. Elevator worked well, pool design was great for small children. Very impressed, and we are picky!

Neat property
This house is VERY nice and well appointed. It has bedrooms on three floors, which does make for a lot of stairs. The floors and furniture are beautiful and the amenities are incredible. My only complaints would be that the backyard has NO privacy. The neighbors window, which butts up to the fence (which is only 3 feet tall) looks directly into the pool. The wind creates a vortex in the backyard as well, so floats and food blow over. Also, the houses are EXTREMELY close together, so when the drunk neighbors come home at 4AM, you can hear EVERYTHING. There is also no beach access, so must drive down to one of the access roads.
